In 2005 business partners, Bill Neely
and Don Mulder founded Balanced Enterprise Solutions, llc
(BES) to provide consulting and technical assist services to companies
in search of outside assistance to meet their performance goals.
Holland, MI residents, Bill and Don, along with their seasoned
multifunctional team have US and international experience in many
industries, including aerospace, automotive, furniture, steel,
consumer goods, electronic assembly, power generation, and distribution
systems. This experience ranges from the shop floor to division
executive level. They also have government procurement experience
as program and contract managers. The words “balance and
enterprise” in the firm’s name is intended to convey
an approach that addresses revenue growth opportunities, as well
as improvement in the management of operations, facility, suppliers,
and customers. The BES approach avoids the “drive- by”
initiatives undertaken by many managers seeking to improve their
company’s performance over the short term.

BES is customer
focused. Not only are we focused on our clients, but also we partner
with our clients to ultimately serve their clients. BES’
services are dependent on our client’s needs. BES can perform
an assessment of the client, and with the oversight and the participation
of the client, build a plan to meet his objectives. BES can provide
the resources to execute the plan; the client can use his resources
to put the plan into action; or it may be a synthesis of both.
In some cases, the client has a plan but needs resources or training
which BES can provide. As BES has grown we have continued to add
capabilities by adding associates from the greater West Michigan
area with an ever wider array of experiences and capabilities.
New Products or Customers
All of the
BES team members have new product introduction experience; from
design, through development, to release for production. In some
cases we can match client capabilities with opportunities that
may exist in the government procurement arena, and we will manage
the qualification and quoting process.
Lean
Implementation
BES team
members have Lean Implementation experience in value streams across
several industries. When appropriate, a Lean Enterprise strategy
will be supplemented with Six Sigma concepts by BES. We can provide
experienced project managers for new equipment integration, plant
expansion, and relocation.
Technical
Assistance
Recognizing
most of the client engagements undertaken by BES are temporary,
BES will provide the skilled people necessary for success. This
includes project managers, technical experts, and skilled professionals
where needed.
BES
recognizes the client’s customer’s requirements are
paramount and must be met. We will structure our approach to meet
these requirements. Our mission is to increase the financial potential
of our client’s business and to maximize their performance
to that potential.
